The first season of the United States Football League is in the books and the playoffs are just around the corner.

The league ended the weekend with four games. The New Jersey Generals face the Philadelphia Stars in a playoff preview in front of North Division enemies.

Birmingham stallions played Tampa Bay bandits. The Michigan Panthers are looking for revenge on the Pittsburgh Mowlers and the Houston Gamblers have taken on the New Orleans Breakers.

Generals 26, Stars 23: New Jersey outscored Philadelphia in a tune-up game ahead of next week’s playoffs. Louis Perez has 138 passing yards and three touchdown passes. Trey Williams also made a touchdown in the rush. Stars Quarterback Case Cooks had two touchdown passes in the win.

Stallions 21, bandits 18: CJ rallies Stallions by nine points at 13:11 in Birmingham’s 12-yard touchdown game from Marble. Jordan Tomu responded with a touchdown pass to Tampa Bay 7:26, but was unable to score on board. Marable has 47 rushing yards on the day. Ta’amu ended the day with two touchdown passes.

Panthers 33, Mowlers 21: Pittsburgh’s only win of the season came against Michigan earlier in the year, but the Panthers retaliated. Paxton Lynch had three touchdown passes for Michigan in the win. Pittsburgh’s Wade Lee has two touchdowns and one on the Roland Rivers.

Gamblers 20, Breakers 3: New Orleans tune-up did not go well before the playoff match against the Stallions. All-USFL Quarterback Kyle Slaughter did not play. New Orleans had a total offense of just 116 yards. Houston’s Donald Payne regains an interception for a touchdown. Jeremiah Johnson also had an interruption in the Houston victory.
