The first round at the US Open on Thursday was not great for Phil Mickelson as he was far from the potential cut line in Round Two.
Mickelson encountered cheers and germs while running The Country Club course in Brooklyn, Massachusetts. At one point, fans bet on Mickelson before he could take his swing. An NBA Better cried out, “Hey Phil! Al Horford, over 9.5 rebounds.”

As he walks down the aisle, most fans say, “My fiance loves you!” Another said, “You’re beautiful, Phil.”
2022 US Open: Watch the third golf major of the season
Mickelson has been playing in his first event with other PGA Tour pros since February. He played in the first event of LIV Golf last weekend, a show that provoked other pro golfers. His remarks earlier this year appeared to dismiss Saudi Arabia’s human rights abuses, which he later apologized for.
“Lefty” reportedly received a $ 200 million contract to play in a Saudi-backed league. In Brooklyn, a fan shouted “Greed is good, Phil!”
Mickelson did not speak to the media after that.
He made an 8-over-78 shot and finished the 144th round on a field of 156 players.
He finished the round on the 11th with five bogies, two double bogies and a birdie. He needs a miracle to cut and stay on the weekend.
