The Ford Pro Electric Supercar is a custom racing truck designed to showcase the brand’s efforts in electrification.
The Outrageous Machine is making its debut this weekend at the Goodwood Festival of Speed in the UK
It will be driven by Le Mans champion Romain Dumas 24 hours a day at the event.
The vehicle was the fourth in a line of supervans that extended the transit body around the frame around Ford’s Le Mans-winning GT40 race cars (as featured on the “Ford v Ferrari”) to promote the new transit until 1971.
Based on Ford’s endurance racing car of the time, the new one was introduced in 1984 and the third in 1994 was provided by the Formula One Ford Cosworth V8.
The new SuperVan is a collaboration between Ford Performance and Austrian race car builder STARD, which started with the chassis of an E-Transit custom electric van, but has largely replaced all of them.
The SuperVan has a composite body with some styling elements that resonate with the Ford GT Race car, including its damaged greenhouse with flow-through bodywork and a large rear diffuser.
It supports all with a steel spaceframe and is stripped for interior driving controls and larger touchscreen displays such as the Ford Mustang Mac-E and F-150 Lightning.
The powertrain features four electric motors with 1,973 hp (2,000 PS or metric horsepower), a 50 kWh battery pack and power controls that can handle high output shots at 60 mph in less than two seconds.
“Inspired by the new E-Transit custom inspiration and clear styling, we’re bringing the SuperVan into the 21st century with 2,000 PS all-electric power. Use vehicle data, “said Mark Rushbrook, Global Director, Ford Performance Motorsports.
Supervan’s programming includes a variety of drive modes that modify its characteristics for track driving, drag racing, drifting, etc., and also has a “tire cleaning” setting that locks one end, while the other burns out.

The production version of E-Transit cannot do that. It is a rear-wheel-drive van with a range of up to 266 hp and up to 126 miles per charge starting at $ 51,880 in the US.
