The entire clash between the dozens of passengers on the Carnival Magic cruise ship erupted over allegations of cheating on the trip, an eyewitness passenger who shared the fight video with Fox News Digital said.

Theresa James, who said she was a travel agent, told Fox News Digital that the fight began just before 2 a.m. on the fifth floor of the ship where the dance club and casino were located.

According to James, the three men alleged among the passengers said that when their significant others found out about Rendezvous, she saw the fight from her door.

The beer bottles were broken and a woman may have been cut off during the chaos, James said.

The ship was intercepted by New York police Tuesday morning. Carnival said the ship arrived in Manhattan on schedule.

It is unclear whether anyone was arrested or whether New York or New Jersey authorities carried it out or whether another jurisdiction took place over international waters.

Meanwhile, James says the cruise intensified until the end, which was a great holiday overall, and she had already booked another one with Carnival‌ in August.
