Kevin Durant’s future with the Brooklyn Nets has become questionable as Kyrie Irving’s commercial rumors took a turn for the worse last month.
Irving may terminate its current contract with the Nets or swing the Brooklyn sign-and-trade deal.
Irving and Durant both signed with the Nets before the 2019-20 season and the latter signed a contract extension in August 2021.
Following the rumor of Durant’s name, a doctored picture of him and Portland Trail Blazers star Damien Lillard emerged on social media – both dressed in red and black.

Lillard re-posted the picture in his Instagram articles and colleague Joseph Nokik posted the photo on his Twitter account.
On Friday, Durant Irving opened up a bit about the situation and said he was not involved.
Kairi Irving trade rumors rise before free agency, Kevin Durant’s future questioned with nets
“No involvement. I mean, I’m not involved with it … it’s this guy’s livelihood, you know?” Durant told The ETCs podcast. “It’s a lot bigger than me. Being a free agent is one of the most important times in your career. It’s not appealing to anyone else.
“There’s nothing going on right now. I think he can even make the decision to stop until the 29th, so let me play a few things and see what happens. Continue regular contact with Ky, and we’ll see what happens. I do not want to. But we’ll see what happens. “

The key to any potential Durant trade is the money left over from his contract. He owes the North $ 40 million a year from 2022 to 2025 and $ 53.2 million in 2025-26.
