Tampa Bay Lightning winger Corey Perry entered the unfortunate area on Sunday night with a 2-1 game 6 loss to Colorado Avalanche, which ended the Stanley Cup title chances.
Perry is playing in his third consecutive Stanley Cup. He appeared with the Dallas Stars in 2020 and the Montreal Canadians in the 2021 Championship. Twice, he was on teams that lost by lightning. This time, he teamed up with Tampa Bay to help them reach the final again to win their third consecutive title.

To no avail though.
Lightning lost to Avalanche in six games and Perry missed his third chance at a second Stanley Cup title. He won the title in 2007 with Anaheim Ducks.

He got a shot late Sunday night’s game to beat Colorado goaltender Darcy Kumper, but he’s just on the mark. Tampa Bay had two shots on goal in the third period when they dragged Andrei Vasilevsky almost 2 minutes into the game.
Perry provided a solid game for Lightning in the 2021-222 season. He played in a total of 82 games for Tampa Bay, scoring 19 goals and 21 assists. Perry’s 19 goals are the highest he has scored with the Ducks since 2016-17.

In the playoffs, he played 22 games with six goals and five assists.
