An unidentified man has been charged with assaulting Louisville Mayor Greg Fisher at a retail store on Saturday.
Police released a photo of the man, but his identity has not yet been confirmed. Fisher, a Democrat, however, was not injured in the attack.
“This evening, while on Fourth Street Live, Mayor Fisher was punched by a man. The mayor is doing a good job,” the Louisville Police Department said in a statement.
“The LMPD is investigating and will release further information once it becomes available,” police added.

Police have requested that anyone with information on the suspect should proceed through the anonymous tip line at 502-574-5673.
