In the first match against Notre Dame, outfielder Ryan Cole fouled the pitch towards the first-base foul line. Robertson, the first baseman, tracked the ball and ran as fast as it could towards it. He caught the ball for an out and turned his head on the dugout railing of the Fighting Irish.
Robertson finished 0-4-4 at the plate, but the Suners were still able to win the game 6-2.

Tanner Treadway scored three hits, drove in two runs and scored twice for the Suners in the win.
After the game he said, “I like to keep things simple.” I can go on for a long time and do very well. I’m trying not to get out of my zone. I think the two strike policy for the last two weeks has been really good for me. I’m trying to hit good pitches and reach my work and time. “
