Biden has signed a bill that would legally protect Supreme Court judges

WASHINGTON (AP) – President Joe Biden on Thursday signed a bill that would provide 24-hour security to the families of Supreme Court judges.

The new law, passed by the House and Senate last week, comes eight days after Justice Brett Kavanagh arrested a man with a gun, knife and zip tie near his home, threatening to kill him.

The bill calling for the expansion of security protections was passed unanimously in the Senate and Roy v. The draft court’s decision to repeal the WAD and drastically reduce abortion rights in almost half the states was approved as soon as it was leaked.

Proponents of her case have been working to make the actual transcript of this statement available online. The judges were given 24-hour protection by US marshals. The new law extended that protection to their families.

The bill was initially delayed in the House as Democrats sought to expand the measure to include protection for families of court employees. After the arrest of Nicholas John Roske, 26, of Simi Valley, California, at his Cavanagh home, Republicans pressured him to approve the proposal. Roskei was indicted by a federal grand jury On Wednesday, a single count was charged with attempted murder of a United States judge. Prosecutors say he flew from California to a judge’s home in Chevy Chase, Maryland, with the intent to kill Cavanagh.

The House passed the bill Tuesday, 396-27. Democrats say they will provide separate protection for the families of court employees.
