(CNN)Bate Middleler and Massey Gray have each responded to some recent criticism His comments were transphobic.

Middler was condemned for tweeting, “Women of the world! Our rights to our bodies, our lives and our names are being taken away!”
“They no longer call us’ women ‘; they call us’ people who give birth’ or ‘people who have menstruation and even’ vaginas’!” Reads her tweet. “Don’t let them wipe you out! Every man on earth owes you!”
    On tuesday “Hawkas Pokas” star retweeted A comment from the New York Times and wrote, “People of the world! My tweet about women responds to this fascinating and well-written part in the NYT on July 3rd.”
      “Nothing I said was intended to exclude or transphobic anything; it was not about that,” her tweet concluded.
      Gray was a little upset after appearing on Fox Nation’s “Pierce Morgan Uncensored” and commented, “I’ll say this and everyone will hate me but as a woman, just because you’re changing your (body) organs, you don’t mind. Woman, sorry Do it. “
        Tuesday, Gray Said in a statement to “Entertainment Tonight.” That “I have nothing but love for LGBTQ + and the transgender community and I have been a supporter from day one.”
          “My statement on Pierce Morgan was grossly misunderstood. I don’t hate anyone,” she said. “I respect everyone’s right to feel comfortable in the body and to live their own truth.”
