The Texas gun owner defended himself and a teenage woman who tried to rob him at gunpoint in Austin, Texas last week, police said.

Jayleen Reed, 17, is now charged with aggravated robbery with a deadly weapon. Reed had already been convicted in 2021 for a series of robberies. Police say he was released on May 27 with an ankle monitor, which he cut two days later. Reed then carried out nine robberies in five days, police say.

Reed pulled out a handgun and robbed the male victim’s backpack. At the same time, the other suspects in the car moved forward and waited for Reed. Smashed. “

Police soon found Reed and three other suspects and put a tourniquet on Reed’s leg before taking him to hospital. Authorities seized a number of stolen items, including handguns, at the scene.

Police have released photos of Reed and his two accomplices, Andre Harris and Paul Rossam, both 18-year-olds. The fourth suspect, however, was a minor.
