A dorm at a Texas university was evacuated and three were injured after a fire.
The fire at Prairie View A&M University, about 45 miles northwest of Houston, occurred about 6 am Wednesday.
The school said there were four injuries, including three students, but everyone was accounted for.
One of the injured students suffered cuts on their third legs after jumping from a floor window. The other two injured students suffered smoke inhalation. The fourth injured person, a police officer helping in the evacuation process, also suffered smoke inhalationaccording to KHOU 11.
All four were taken to a nearby hospital by ambulance in unknown condition.
No other information was provided, but the cause of the fire is under investigation, according to KTRK. The school confirmed the fire started on the building’s third floor.
